The Toledo Municipal Court Help Center offers mediation services upon referral by the Court. Mediations are conducted at no additional charge to the participants. Cases that may be appropriate for mediation include small claims, general civil matters, and landlord/tenant disputes.

The Help Center seeks to develop a roster of contract mediators who are interested in accepting case referrals. Initial referrals will be restricted to rent escrow matters under the rubric established by Toledo Housing Court Local Rule 6.

Contract mediators will not be employees of the Toledo Municipal Court; however, they will have access to Help Center resources, including Court conference rooms, and receive payment for their services. The program is scheduled to launch in December 2025.
