Interpreter Services
To ensure that all persons are given equal access to justice and that court proceedings function efficiently and effectively, the Toledo Municipal Court provides interpreting services to individuals who are hearing impaired, deaf, vision impaired, or have limited English language proficiency. The court provides these interpreting services at no cost to the court user.
Parties in a court case may not utilize family members, friends, or alternate individual(s) as court interpreters. An official court interpreter must be appointed by the court. To request an interpreter, please complete the Request for Interpreter Form at least seven (7) business days prior to the scheduled court event.
Issues with court interpreting services should be raised as soon as possible. If a problem with interpreting occurs during court, the issue should be brought to the attention of the judge or magistrate so that it can be addressed immediately. If that is not possible, please contact the Court Administrator’s Office via phone at (419) 245-1949 or via email at courtadministrator@tmcourt.org.
